Swiss fintech Helvo has launched its financial operating system for Swiss SMEs nationwide. The launch follows a beta phase that started in June with around 50 businesses.

The platform brings together banking, invoicing, accounting, payroll and financial insight. Everything runs in one connected system.

At the centre of Helvo is a Swiss business account. It offers Swiss franc and euro IBANs. The account can be opened within 48 to 72 hours, subject to approval.

With this account, businesses can manage payments, invoicing, accounting and payroll in one place. Each transaction links to its related documents.

Helvo serves two types of users. The first are founders setting up their finances from scratch. The second are SMEs that use different tools for their finances.

New Swiss companies can use Helvo’s capital deposit accounts. This helps them move faster from company setup to an active business account.

Existing SMEs can link their bank accounts through bLink. bLink is an open banking system run by SIX. It lets businesses use Helvo’s tools without switching banks.

“By connecting transactions, invoices and accounting data in real time, Helvo gives entrepreneurs a trusted view of cash flow, runway and financial performance. That helps them make better-informed decisions around spending, hiring and investment, without having to assemble the picture manually every time,”

said Julien Barbotin-Larrieu, CEO of Helvo.

Helvo subscriptions start at CHF 39 a month. Usage allowances vary by plan.

Accounts are provided through Hypothekarbank Lenzburg AG, a Swiss bank supervised by FINMA. Deposits are protected up to CHF 100,000 under Switzerland’s esisuisse scheme.

Helvo is targeting 500 Swiss businesses on the platform by the end of 2026.
